Statement on the Commission’s Proposal for a European Research Area Act (ERA Act) − Contribution to the Public Consultation (January 2026)

 

The RfII expects that regulations under an ERA Act will contribute to the coherent development of scientific information infrastructures within the EU and will be suitable for leveraging potential synergies across national borders. At the same time, the diversity of national research systems must be recognised: their autonomy should be a guiding principle of the ERA Act.
